Walking, hiking and outdoor adventure activities involve inherent risks. By booking and participating in an activity organised by Boots On Adventures Ltd, you acknowledge these risks and agree to the following terms.

Risk Awareness

I understand that walking, hiking and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including uneven terrain, changing weather conditions, remote locations and other natural hazards. These risks may result in personal injury and, in rare circumstances, death. By taking part, I accept responsibility for my own safety, actions and participation.

Safety Management

Boots On Adventures Ltd and its Walk Leaders will take all reasonable steps to manage risks and deliver activities in a safe and responsible manner. However, outdoor conditions can change, and Boots On Adventures Ltd reserves the right to alter, shorten, postpone or cancel any activity if conditions are considered unsafe or unsuitable.

Health and Fitness

I confirm that I am in suitable health and physical condition to participate in the activity I have booked. I will disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries or illnesses that may affect my ability to take part safely. Boots On Adventures Ltd reserves the right to refuse participation on safety or medical grounds where necessary.

Alcohol and Drugs

Participants must not take part in any activity while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Boots On Adventures Ltd reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone believed to be under such influence.

Following Instructions

I agree to follow the reasonable instructions and safety guidance provided by the Walk Leader at all times. Boots On Adventures Ltd reserves the right to remove or refuse participation to any individual whose behaviour is considered unsafe or detrimental to the safety, wellbeing or enjoyment of the group. Boots On Adventures Ltd cannot accept responsibility for incidents that arise where a participant deliberately disregards reasonable safety advice or instructions.

Personal Responsibility and Equipment

I understand that I am responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, footwear and equipment suitable for the activity, terrain and expected weather conditions.

Group Responsibility and Joining the Walk  / Activity

I understand that the Boots On Adventures Ltd Walk Leader is responsible for participant welfare only from the point at which I join the organised group at the designated meeting point until the point at which I leave the group at the end of the activity.

If I arrive late and attempt to catch up with the group independently, Boots On Adventures Ltd accepts no responsibility for my safety or wellbeing until I have rejoined the group and made contact with the Walk Leader.

If I choose to leave the group or depart from the planned activity before its conclusion, I do so at my own risk and Boots On Adventures Ltd cannot accept responsibility for my safety once I have separated from the group.

Injuries and Incidents

I agree to inform the Walk Leader as soon as possible of any injury, illness, discomfort or incident that occurs during the activity so that appropriate assistance can be provided. Boots On Adventures Ltd cannot reasonably respond to or manage issues that are not reported at the time they occur.

Emergency Medical Assistance

In the event of an accident or medical emergency, I agree that first aid may be provided and that appropriate medical assistance may be sought on my behalf if necessary.

Insurance and Personal Property

Boots On Adventures Ltd does not provide personal accident insurance for participants. Participants are responsible for their own insurance where appropriate. Boots On Adventures Ltd cannot accept responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by the proven negligence of Boots On Adventures Ltd or its representatives.

Photography and Media

Photographs or videos may occasionally be taken during activities for use on the Boots On Adventures Ltd website, social media or promotional materials. If I prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, I will inform the Walk Leader at the start of the activity.

Data Protection

Personal information provided during booking will be held securely and used for the administration of activities and communication with participants. Boots On Adventures Ltd will not share personal data with third parties except where required by law.

Acceptance of Terms

By ticking the acceptance box during booking, I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions and that I participate in Boots On Adventures Ltd activities at my own risk.
