Step into the abundance of summer and discover the vibrant flavours growing along the coastline of Herne Bay. On this seasonal foraging adventure, you’ll explore a rich tapestry of fruity delights, coastal vegetables, forgotten herbs, and wild spices thriving by the sea.
Guided by experienced forager Amy from Forth & Forage and outdoor expert Ian Henderson from Boots On Adventures, you’ll learn how to safely identify and harvest wild edible plants at their summer peak. This is a chance to connect more deeply with the landscape while exploring the sustainable art of coastal foraging.
Do you often wander the shoreline and wonder what’s edible? Have you ever spotted berries, herbs, or sea plants and thought, “Could I eat that?” This immersive summer experience will give you the confidence to answer that question — and turn your seaside walks into flavour-filled discoveries.
Meeting at the Rising Sun pub in Beltinge, Herne Bay, this guided walk will help you identify seasonal plants in a safe, responsible, and rewarding way — all while enjoying the beauty of the Kent coast in summer.

Make sure you have
- Suitable footwear (preferably walking boots or sturdy shoes, no flip-flops)
- A waterproof coat (and waterproof trousers, if you have them) for rainy days
- Drinking water and a packed lunch
- Personal medication (Let us know confidentially about any medical conditions)
- Suitable walking attire

- If you have any COVID symptoms, please do not attend.
- We take photos during our walks for promotional and training purposes. If you prefer not to be included, just let us know on the day.
- Cancellation policy states: Full payment becomes due if a user cancels within 4 days of the activity. Any person cancelling outside of 4 days, will receive a credit available to use within 90 days.ancel at least 4 days before the event to receive a credit note for a future walk, valid for 90 days.
