- We take photos during our walks for promotional and training purposes. If you prefer not to be included, just let us know on the day.
- Cancellation policy states: Full payment becomes due if a user cancels within 4 days of the activity. Any person cancelling outside of 4 days, will receive a credit available to use within 90 days. Cancel at least 4 days before the event to receive a credit note for a future walk, valid for 90 days.

On this walk we will explore the peaceful countryside between the villages of Sheldwich and Badlesmere, following a network of field paths and woodland tracks through a quietly beautiful part of rural Kent.
We will begin in the village of Sheldwich, a place with deep medieval roots and a long history tied to farming and the surrounding landscape. Leaving the village behind, we step out onto open field paths, where wide skies and gently rolling farmland set the tone for the day. These fields have been worked for centuries, and many of the paths we follow began as practical routes linking farms, woodland and neighbouring settlements.
Our route weaves between open countryside and pockets of ancient woodland, a characteristic feature of this area of Kent. These woodlands are remnants of much larger forests that once covered the landscape and were traditionally managed for timber, fuel and charcoal. As we walk beneath the trees, the atmosphere shifts, offering shelter, birdsong and a sense of continuity with the past.
Gradually, we make our way towards Badlesmere, passing along field edges and woodland margins shaped by hedgerows that often mark ancient boundaries. Badlesmere itself has long been associated with agriculture, and the surrounding land reflects generations of careful cultivation and rural life.
After taking time to enjoy the peaceful setting, we return via a different combination of field paths and woodland trails. The route offers ever-changing views, from open farmland to shaded tracks, and a strong sense of how closely villages, fields and woods are connected in this part of Kent. The walk concludes back in Sheldwich, having traced a gentle loop through a landscape rich in history, nature and quiet rural charm.
