A peaceful riverside journey filled with history, countryside charm, and classic Kentish views — with a medal waiting at the finish!
Join Boots On Adventures for a beautiful guided walk along the Len Valley Walk, a long-distance trail that traces the River Len from Maidstone all the way to Lenham. This is a route made for those who enjoy slow, scenic exploration through gentle paths, sweeping parkland, quaint villages, and some of Kent’s most iconic landmarks.
We begin at Maidstone East, heading straight into the green expanse of Mote Park where the river winds through lakes, meadows, and woodland. From here, the route leads us onward toward Bearsted, passing rolling fields and quiet footpaths as we make our way deeper into the Len Valley.
The trail continues through the small village of Caring, before guiding us past St Nicholas Church, a peaceful and picturesque spot that feels lifted from another era. Soon after, the landscape opens up to reveal impressive views of Leeds Castle — one of England’s most celebrated historic sites — perfectly framed from across the lake.
Beyond Leeds Castle, we follow tranquil paths through Broomfield, where orchards, oast houses, and country lanes showcase the best of rural Kent. The final stretch brings us gently into Lenham, finishing right at Lenham Train Station, where you can relax, reflect, and celebrate completing this beautiful long-distance trail.
As always, the pace will suit the group. We’ll take breaks when they feel right — a riverside rest, a shady woodland pause, or a bench overlooking open countryside. This walk is about enjoying the journey, not racing through the miles.
Everyone who completes the trail will receive a special Boots On Adventures medal, a keepsake to mark your achievement and your day exploring this charming corner of Kent.
The walk will start promptly. If you’re running behind, just give us a call and we’ll do our best to help you catch up.
