Join us for a relaxed and sociable evening walk through Kent’s peaceful countryside. Starting from Bapchild Village Hall, this 6.34-mile circular route takes in blooming orchards, open farmland, and the historic charm of Lynsted and Rodmersham before looping back to Bapchild.
We’ll be walking at a relaxed pace with time to pause, chat, and take in the scenery. Suitable footwear is recommended, and a small torch can be handy during the darker months. This is a friendly, welcoming walk—ideal for regular walkers and newcomers alike.

- We welcome friendly dogs on our walks, provided they remain on a lead at all times. The owner is fully responsible for their dog throughout the walk.
- We take photos during our walks for promotional and training purposes. If you prefer not to be included, just let us know on the day.
- Cancellation policy states: Full payment becomes due if a user cancels within 4 days of the activity. Any person cancelling outside of 4 days, will receive a credit available to use within 90 days. Cancel at least 4 days before the event to receive a credit note for a future walk, valid for 90 days.

We begin in the ancient village of Bapchild, which lies along the route of the old Roman Watling Street. From the village hall, we follow a footpath eastward, quickly leaving the roadside behind as we head into the rich agricultural landscape that defines this part of Kent. Expect fruit orchards alive with birdsong, wide open skies, and views across gently rolling fields.
As we make our way toward Lynsted, the path brings us into one of Kent’s most charming villages. With its 13th-century St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, flint cottages, and a peaceful green, it offers a real sense of the county’s rural heritage. We’ll take our time here, enjoying the setting and a bit of local history.
From Lynsted, we head north through a stretch of quiet countryside to reach Rodmersham. This picture-postcard village is rich in traditional character, with its timber-framed houses, old farm buildings, and a green that hasn’t changed much in centuries. A lovely spot to catch our breath and appreciate the slower pace of village life.
The final leg of the route curves back westward, taking us along more orchard-lined paths and through soft meadows before we arrive back in Bapchild as the evening light begins to fade.
It’s a varied and rewarding walk, offering everything from sweeping rural views to tucked-away village corners.
