The route showcases the wild beauty of the Hoo Peninsula, where tidal landscapes shift with the light and migrating birds fill the skies. Walking here feels like stepping into another world—salt marshes, grazing fields, and endless skies create an atmosphere of space and solitude, broken only by the call of curlew or the sight of ships gliding silently along the Thames. Allhallows itself has an intriguing backstory: in the 1930s, ambitious plans were drawn up to transform it into a seaside resort to rival Blackpool, complete with amusement parks, a zoo, and grand hotels. Though the vision never came to life, the area later became home to a quieter holiday park, making it a curious mix of seaside dreams and unspoilt estuary wilderness.
