Learn more aboutthis wonderful walk

On the 29th of November we will be strolling from Blue Bell Hill to Wouldham and back again.

The walk will start at the Blue Bell Hill car park. From here we will make our way along the North Downs Way, taking in the views before heading down into the Medway Valley and through the villages of Wouldham and Burham.

Our route takes us through woodland, fields and quiet village lanes, passing historic houses and places with stories stretching back centuries. We’ll take time to look at the landscape around us and uncover some of the history hidden along the way.

And there are some great stories to tell.

We’ll discover connections to Roman temples and the ancient past, hear about people who were with Nelson when he died, and learn about the battle that Britain lost to a foreign invader. Then there’s the story of a ghastly murder that adds a darker twist to the walk.

With countryside, history, fascinating characters and a few stories you may never have heard before, this should make for a very enjoyable day out.

Come and join us for a walk through the Kent countryside — and see what stories we uncover along the way.
